Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress who is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington in Ohio, left high school, and relocating into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. Although she was struggling financially, her 2001 debut was acting as Rachel's Room's main character. The TV film Murder in Greenwich that she appeared in, where she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was keen to pursue film following her role as Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. The actress starred as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 as well as Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. She played the same role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace performed the role of Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. She is Faith, a groupie who acts as a muse to the stars and catches the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her performances as the lead in the erotic romance comedy drama Secretary (2002) and the dramatic Sherrybaby (2006) each of which earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Her fame grew after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in the year the year 2006. She received a nomination as the best supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mother as she appeared in Crazy Heart. The roles she played in subsequent films include Nanny McPhee, The Big Bang and Hysteria. The other roles she played were an agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013), a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in Frank (2014) as well as the title role in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's debut as a writer and director took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama that won her the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. She also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
