Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as older boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. She also loves operas and any form dramatic performance. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. After moving from Mexico to America in 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with traditional Latin American music at private occasions. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing has her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing classic Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to sing the same.
